Food Pantry Up-date – August 2021
By Karen Bender Thank you, Dekorra, for your continued generosity! We have heard from two of the Food Pantries this month that their needs have increased as more families are seeking help. Rising food prices has made it heard for food stamps and other assistance to cover the costs of food for their families. Reach Out said they have over 80 new family units that they have registered – many migrants in the area to do ag work. Poynette has experienced an increase of over 20 families the past several months. The need continues to be great. Arlington has a specific need for: (Urgent needs are highlighted.) Canned pineapple Juice Toilet paper and paper towels Pudding cups Any food items Any baking supplies Any personal items and cleaning supplies Poynette has a specific need for: (Urgent needs are highlighted.) Toilet paper, paper towels Canned fruit Jam Any food items Peanut butter Mac N Cheese Ramen Toilet bowl cleaner Spic N Span Shampoos Any personal items Cleaning Supplies Reach Out Lodi is requesting: Oatmeal Canned corn Kidney beans Graham crackers Soda Crackers Lasagna whole grain pasta Small beverages Large juice Granola bars Instant mashed potatoes Popcorn Coffee Cooking oil Sugar free items Natural peanut butter Strawberry jelly Evaporated milk Gelatin & Pudding Fresh Vegetables & Fruit Cat & Dog food PERSONAL ESSENTIALS: Bath towels and wash cloths King, Queen, Full & Twin sheet sets Shaving cream (men & women) Razors (men & women) Liquid hand soap Bar soap Bandaids Lip balm Please see the Reach Out Lodi web-site for household and clothing needs: www.reachoutlodi.org If you choose to purchase or donate any of the items listed and bring them to the Church, you can mark your donation for a specific Pantry OR we will sort it there and deliver it where we think it should go.
